Capri Restaurant was founded by Richard Accursio in 1958 when he rented a one room building right down the street from its current location and was officially opened on July 28th. A year later is when the popular restaurant which now graces 935 North Krome Avenue was constructed, and since then our unshakeable devotion to quality food and service has painstakingly carved a sterling reputation for variety and culinary prestige.

When it comes to quality fine dining, it’s hard to say that such restaurants are a dime a dozen. Very few stick out as the most prestigious places to have lunch, dinner, or even order food to go. However, Richard Accursio’s Capri Restaurant has been known as South Florida’s premiere family restaurant for over 50 years, whether you’re here to have a casual bowl of pasta or if you’re here to enjoy a scrumptious filet mignon in our luxurious King Richard Dining Room. From classic Italian dishes to simple American classics, our sheer versatility has been a major factor in our fame in the Homestead and Florida City area, though our reputation has also earned clientele from as far as Key Largo, Islamorada, Cutler Bay, Kendall… even Miami!

On that note, even though we’re known as an Italian restaurant, we can also be singled out as many other things… a steakhouse, a seafood restaurant, a pizzeria, and even a pastry market! Our capabilities know no bounds, and every ingredient used at Capri is guaranteed to be only the freshest, highest quality ingredients on the market. We proudly use locally grown produce and local seafood from our bountiful Redland area farms and beautiful waters in the Keys.
